"Dysmal Abyss" formed during the cold Mid-coast winter of 2009 in response to a locally posted flyer calling for like-minded individuals to start a band, citing influences such as Herzog's "Aguirre", unfocused resentment, early SST records, Raymond Carver, alcoholism, free jazz, and your mom's new boyfriend.

D.A. cranks out a crude form of emotionally isolated murk-punk improv, gruesome sloth tone documented straight to tape. Savage, subversive and totally raw! Harsh zoner anthems for the socially inept.
