Kimmie Dix & The Doomies made their confusing debut on the label in 2011 with this self-titled C30 of twisted subterranean lounge and bewildering harsh noise abrasion. Kenneth Gerard Painter Jr. is also one-third of legendary Pittsburgh power electronics outfit LORD BIRD GOLDEN COBRA, but here joins forces with his own young daughter to deliver a series of singularly skewed and upsetting vignettes of true basement grit and savagely dysfunctional brilliance. Anti-everything / anti-nothing. A deeply strange collection of lo-fi garble and what sounds like crying, injured dogs. (Seriously, WTF is that?) Piercing feedback attack, blown out drum-skuzz, supremely rough edits, and totally unintelligible jibberish, recorded direct to cassette.

Initially released as Lighten Up Sound #039. Real time duplicated black shell Type II Chrome C-30 with printed flouro-green labels came packaged in clear clamshell case with paste-on artwork. Hand numbered and stamped, limited edition of only 33 copies.

This work has finally been rescued from our mildewed LUS archives, digitized from the original analog source, and carefully remastered for ultimate DIX fidelity to be proudly reborn into this unholy digital age. Raw, real and mind boggling!
